If you are not yet aware, Dior has reopened two flagship boutiques in Hong Kong recently and in the month of September, they opened the ‘Lady Dior As Seen By’ exhibition for the public. A quick summary: ‘What is Lady Dior As Seen By?’. It’s an event, organized by Dior featuring more than 100 artworks made from well known artist from all places around the world. The project has been created in 1995 and the assignment is to re-create the iconic bag Lady Dior.
Dior asked six local artists to join, including Photographer Wing Shya and the artist Kum Chi Keung, who made the exceptional bird that appears to be flying with the body of the Lady Dior bag. The material used are bamboo sticks and the inspiration came from traditional wood-crafted birdcage. Truly an amazing piece of art.
The exhibition is located at Pier 4 in the Central and exclusive in Hong Kong, a never-seen before giant Lady Dior bag has been constructed on the roof. For those who are interested, the Lady Dior As Seen By is open from 11 to 23 September. The entrance is free.
