It’s amazing how a pair of heels elevates your entire outfit. Like handbags, shoes are collectible pieces of art, and if I could, I’d fill my closet with every designer’s latest creation, but, since that’s
impractical, and rather costly, here are 3 pairs of classic shoes worth splurging on.
1. Pointed Toe Stiletto: The pointed toe stiletto is a heel that always remains in style. If you’re looking for a sophisticated look, pair it with a structured, form fitting dress or pencil skirt. For an elevated casual t-shirt and jeans ensemble, trade in your flats for a pointed toe stiletto. The pointed tip, and tall thin heel are simultaneously feminine and aggressive. I always feel put together and empowered in stilettos. They are my heels of choice when I have a long day ahead of me.
2. Peep Toes: Thou, I prefer slipping into pointed toe stilettos when I want more presence and authority, I reserve platform peep toes for a night out with girlfriends, dinner, or a younger/more edgy ensemble. Platform peep toes almost always add length to your leg.
3. Ballet flats: Victoria Beckham claims she can’t concentrate in flats. However, I think it’s essential to have a pair of flats in your closet. I prefer wearing flats when traveling, walking around on a Sunday, or feeling casual.
Around the clock: Christian Louboutin So Kate Pointed Toes at Loubi world for $625, Christian Louboutin Lady Peep for $945, Giuseppe Zanotti Alien Peep Toe Pumps for $650 at Shopbop, Ferragamo Varabow in Patent at e-store for $450, Monique Lhuillier Studded Heel Pumps At Shopbop for $1,195.
